ASUS Zenfone Max Pro (M1) 6GB is the top-most variant of Zenfone Max Pro which was launched in April 2019. The phone’s specification is the same and it just comes with 6GB of RAM. According to the various tech portals, you will not notice any major difference in performance with the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro (M1) 6GB variant. Even the reports also claim that the benchmark scores are almost similar. However, its worth to note that since the phone comes with the higher amount of RAM, it can handle more apps in the background. The smartphone comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor which good at handling medium graphics games. But the one section in which the company really did well is the camera. The camera got a massive overhaul and it can now click better images. The primary camera has been bumped from 13 Megapixel on the 3GB/4GB variant to 16 Megapixel on the 6GB version. The 6GB version also arrives with an increase in aperture from f/2.2 to the former f/2.0. Talking about the front camera, the phone’s camera got an overhaul and its now a 16 Megapixel shooter compared to the 8 Megapixel sensor seen on the base versions. According to various tech portals, the camera now captures better low light photos and also offers improved edge detection feature. On the HDR Mode, the camera was able to capture more detailed images and there’s also an improvement in dynamic range. The front camera also comes with slight improvements in the edge detection and it now captures more details. Well, on the battery front of view, the ASUS Zenfone Max Pro (M1) 6GB dominates with its 5,000mAh battery.
So, should you buy?
Well, ASUS Zenfone Max Pro (M1) 6GB is for those who are on a tight budget. Since the phone is very budget friendly, it comes with few drawbacks. The phone doesn’t have USB Type-C support which is really disappointing. The phone’s camera is also not up to the mark. But, considering the price tag of Rs 15,000 for the 6GB variant, these cons can be digested. But, ASUS Zenfone Max Pro (M1) 6GB is by far the best budget Android phone which is available under Rs. 15,000. The phone is already available on Flipkart, but it went out of stock in a few minutes and will be available again shortly.
